City of Elmhurst City Council met Nov. 18

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Executive Session - Mayor Levin called Executive Session to order at 6:33pm.

1.1 1. Review of Minutes of Meetings Lawfully Closed Under the Open Meetings Act, for Purposes of Approval by the Body of the Minutes for Semi-annual Review of the Minutes as Mandated by Section 2.06 pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/5 (c)(5), (c)(21), Setting a Price for Sale of Real Estate, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/5 (c)(6) and Pending/Probable Litigation pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(11)

Alderman Nardini moved to convene into executive session.  Alderman Nudera seconded.

Nays: None

2. Call to Order - Mayor Levin called the regular meeting of city council to order at 7:30pm.

Alderman Bastedo moved to accept the consent agenda.  Alderman Bram seconded.

7. Committee Report

7.1 Report - 2024 Property Tax Levy (F,CA&AS)

Alderman Talluto moved to accept the report.  Alderman Jensen seconded.  Alderman Talluto spoke in support of the report while summarizing its content. Alderman Brennan spoke in support of the report as well.

Ayes: Emily Bastedo, Guido Nardini, Mike Brennan, Jennifer Veremis, Jacob Hill, Karen Sienko, Chris Jensen, Michael Bram, Noel Talluto, and James Nudera

Nays: None

8. Reports and Recommendations of Appointed and Elected Officials

8.1 Mayor Levin - The Mayor announced information on how referrals are followed and posted and beginning to post the ones that are over 90 days out. Mayor Levin thanked Cathy Jordan and Senior Commission of last week's Senior Awards Ceremony.  Turkey Trot is 11/28, road closures begin at 6am and the run starts at 9am.  More info at dangibbonsturkeytrot.com.  Mayor Levin delivered introduction and presented the video for the Elmhurst Police Station.

8.2 City Manager Grabowski - City Manager thanked Kassandra, Molly and Chief McLean for their work on the video presented.  Garbage day is one day delayed over Thanksgiving week.  Last leaf collection 12/4=12/6 during regular scheduled pick-up days.  11/30-12/28 Holly Trolley on Saturdays from noon - midnight.

10. Adjournment - Alderman Sienko moved to adjourn the meeting.  Alderman Bastedo seconded.  A voice vote was taken.  Motion passed unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 8:14pm.
