State Representative Amy Grant of Wheaton is urging Illinois residents to participate in Small Business Saturday on November 30, 2024. The event, observed annually on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, highlights the role of small businesses in local economies.
"Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and the heartbeat of local economies," stated Rep. Grant. "When you make a purchase from a small business —you are supporting local jobs, families, and the unique character of our neighborhoods."
The 47th district, represented by Grant, features a variety of boutiques, artisan shops, and family-owned restaurants that contribute uniquely to their towns. Rep. Grant encourages everyone to recognize these small businesses during the holiday season.
"This holiday season, join me in showing our local entrepreneurs how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication," she added.
