State Representative Nicole La Ha commended the Hinsdale Little League 12U baseball team in an October 4 Facebook post, stating, "Their achievements this season are a true testament to the strength of character and commitment these players have shown both on and off the field."
"This group of talented young athletes has brought pride to Hinsdale and inspired their peers," said Nicole La Ha Zwiercan, according to Facebook. "They've shown what is possible through determination and teamwork. Their achievements this season are a true testament to the strength of character and commitment these players have shown both on and off the field."
According to La Ha, on October 3, she filed House Resolution 0909 to acknowledge the team's accomplishments. The resolution partially states: "The Hinsdale Little League 12U team earned its first trip to the 2024 Little League World Series with victory in the five-team Great Lakes Tournament on Aug. 7, 2024, in Whitestown, Indiana; and whereas the Hinsdale Little League 12U team advanced to the 2024 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania where 10 region champions and 10 international teams from around the globe competed for the world title; and whereas though the team was not successful this year at the World Series, the Hinsdale Little League 12U team and the Hinsdale community have much to be proud of after this season and this first World Series trip."
