In recognition of his votes taken in the legislature that benefit manufacturers and the broader business community in Illinois, State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) has been named a “Champion of Manufacturing” by the Illinois Manufacturing Association (IMA). Lewis earned an “A” in his ranking.

“Senator Lewis is a strong supporter of manufacturers, advocating for measures that will strengthen investment and spur economic growth in our communities,” said IMA Vice President of Government Affairs Donovan Griffith. “We thank Senator Lewis for standing with job creators as we work to build a more prosperous Illinois for generations to come.”

The IMA awarded the title based on its 2024 Legislative Report Card, which highlights lawmakers who consistently support Illinois’ manufacturing industry. The Report Card rates lawmakers based on their voting record on key bills that impact the state’s manufacturing sector.

“The manufacturing industry is vital to the Illinois economy and I am proud to be recognized for my work on this industry’s behalf,” said Lewis. “I look forward to working collaboratively to enact policies that help these critical job providers grow and thrive.”
