State Senator Seth Lewis | Illinois General Assembly
Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representatives Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) and Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) are inviting the public to a free informational session on the federal Medicare program, scheduled for September 18 in Bloomingdale.
“The federal Medicare system can be tricky to navigate, and it is important that enrollees ensure they have adequate coverage between Medicare and supplemental plans that are available,” said Lewis. “At this event, experts from the Illinois Department on Aging will be on hand to explain the system and answer your questions. The session is useful for current Medicare enrollees, those approaching Medicare eligibility, and family members who assist with medical decisions.”
The seminar will take place at the Bloomingdale Township Senior Center from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Representatives from the Illinois Department on Aging will provide an overview of the Medicare program, covering topics such as eligibility, enrollment, benefits, and other relevant information. A question-and-answer period will follow.
“It is helpful for aging Illinoisans to understand the ins and outs of this federal health care program, and Representatives Grant and Sanalitro and I are hoping to see a large turnout of current and future enrollees,” said Lewis.
