Last week, it was reported that a notorious hacking group stole and sold nearly 2.9 billion sensitive data records on the black market.

The breach occurred in April, highlighting the dangers of fraud and scams.

In response, Rep. Sanalitro is offering a free event for shredding sensitive financial and medical documents on September 28th at the Itasca Waterpark.

Residents can drop off two bankers' boxes of documents to be shredded on-site. Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
