City of Elmhurst City Council met June 3
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
1. Call to Order - Mayor Levin called the meeting to order at 7:37pm.

2. Promotions: Oath of Office - Mayor Levin delivered the Oath of Office for Battalion Chief promotion, Michael Heusing and Lieutenant promotion, Jacob Richard.
3. Presentation - Mayor Levin recognized the Youth Advisory Committee of the Elmhurst Commission on Youth.

Mayor Levin pulled item 7.2 from the consent agenda for corrections to be made and will be on the agenda at the next meeting. The Mayor also pulled item 7.12.
7.12 Mayor Levin explained reasoning the item was pulled from the last meeting. To clarify, it was not brought back to committee. Mayor stated there were some technical amendments needed to be made in conjunction of discussion with the city attorney. There were no changes to the work done in committee.

Alderman Deuter moved to accept the report. Alderman Park seconded. Alderman Deuter spoke in support of the report in summary.

9. Reports and Recommendations of Appointed and Elected Officials
9.1 Mayor Levin - The Mayor announced the Explore Elmhurst Trolley will run Fridays and Saturdays through September 14th, Noon to Midnight. Wednesday, 6/12, the Downtown Planning Vision Workshop, 6:30pm, Elmhurst University Frick Center and the Committee of the Whole meeting will be 6/10 at 8pm to update the process to council. Farmers Market will be June - October on Wednesdays from 7am - 1pm at York/Vallette. French Market will be at the city parking lot by the 180 W. Park building Park/Prospect on Sundays 6/9-9/29, 9am - 2pm. Elmhurst Cycling Classic Saturday 6/8 at 10am and pro race at 5pm. Mayor Levin was sworn in as President of DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference.
9.2 City Manager Grabowski - Roll Calls began for Police Department and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer. Tuesday, 6/4 at Seminole and Parkside, and Thursday 6/6 at Willow and Schiller, 7-8pm. Roll call information on locations can be found on the police department facebook page.
10. Other Business
Alderman Brennan wished City Manager Grabowski a Happy birthday on behalf of council, staff, and residents
11. Adjournment - Alderman Brennan moved to adjourn the meeting. Alderman Hill seconded. A voice vote was taken. Motion passed unanimously.
