In a move stirring local controversy, the Naperville Rotary Club has reportedly expelled Janice Anderson, citing her alleged engagement in political disputes and complaints about Kim White's behavior towards those not supporting Naperville Councilman Benny White.

The decision to remove Anderson from the Rotary Club was made based on accusations of bringing politics into the non-political club environment.

Anderson did not name the Whites specifically but in a Facebook post expressed her concerns about the perceived hostility in local politics and the impact on community service activities.

“I absolutely love serving my community and being involved in local politics,” Janice Anderson said on Facebook before she was kicked out of the Rotary Club.

“One thing I don't love is how nasty and personal some people in our community make local politics. People are free to support who they want but this one person still - months after the campaign - is making scenes and being overtly rude and eye glaring at anyone that didn't support her spouse.”

“We go to community events to support our community and help charities. We shouldn't have to tap dance around this person's fragile ego while doing it! Grow up!”

In 2022, Anderson was a Republican candidate for DuPage County Board. However, she dropped her candidacy before the election was held.

Benny White was a member of the leftist Naperville Forward slate of candidates earlier this year.

Kim White was part of Benny White’s campaign and appeared in Facebook videos with him.

Benny White's loss in the Naperville mayoral election followed revelations about his property tax exemption despite a substantial income, which stirred controversy for the couple.

Despite losing the mayoral race, Benny White reaffirmed his commitment to public service and has continued to serve on the City Council.

The recent events involving the Whites have added layers to the ongoing discussions surrounding the intersection of local politics, community service and ethical conduct in Naperville.

More recently, Benny White faced controversy over his response to an alleged Quran burning incident involving local children.

The mishandling of the situation, including premature statements without proper verification, drew criticism from Naperville City Council candidate Nag Jaiswal.

The children were allegedly threatened and harassed after Benny White and others elevated a video of the alleged Quran burning without verifying its authenticity first.
