Chores on a Dairy Farm
Ever wanted to spend the day as a farmer? Well here is your chance to try your hand at different farming chores while learning about the importance of 1890s dairy farms and how their legacy is still around today. The event will take place on Thursday, June 22, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Kline Creek Farm, 1N600 County Farm Road in West Chicago. This 1890s living history farm is owned and operated by the Forest Preserve District. Suggested admission to the event is a donation of $5 per person for ages 3 and older.

Put on your boots, grab some work gloves and help restore the environment during the Restoration Workday on Saturday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to noon at Churchill Woods’ Glacial Ridge in Lombard. No experience is necessary and the event is free to attend. Children 10 years and older are welcome with an adult.
