Republican DuPage County Board member Sam Tornatore recently donated $1,000 to progressive Democratic DuPage County Board Chair Deb Conroy.

The donation, in which Tornatore Law Office gave $1,000 to the campaign committee on March 29, was revealed in the Friends of Deborah Conroy D-2 quarterly report.

Tornatore has served in the County Board District 1 seat since December 2012. He also serves as the vice chair of the Bloomingdale Township Republicans.

He is chair of the county’s Development Committee and vice chair of the Transportation Committee. Tornatore also belongs to the Finance Committee, Judicial and Public Safety Committee, Public Works Committee, Stormwater Committee and Ad-Hoc Collective Bargaining Committee.

He was previously a trustee for Roselle and Bloomingdale, board member and secretary for the Illinois Housing Development Authority, and member and president of the DuPage County Health Department Board of Health.

In addition to serving on the DuPage County Board, Tornatore also runs Tornatore Law Office,  the entity that provided the campaign donation that is noted as the “Bloomingdale Village Prosecutor.”

“Sam and his wife Marcia have been residents of Roselle and have been active in the Roselle and Bloomingdale communities for almost twenty years," Tornatore’s campaign website reads. "Sam and Marcia’s daughter, Alison, attended Lake Park High School in Roselle and continues to be an active member in the community. Sam and Marcia are members of St. Walter Church in Roselle and Sam spent many years as a basketball coach for the school, as well as for the Roselle Park District."
