McKinley Stormwater Pump Station Improvements Project

The City of Elmhurst will be holding a virtual public meeting from 5-6 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023, to provide information on an upcoming construction to improve the McKinley Stormwater Pump Station. The meeting with be held on Microsoft Teams and have a dial-in option available. A link to the meeting will be posted on Elmhurst.org/mckinleystormwaterproject.

The project will consist of upgrades and improvements to the McKinley Stormwater Pump Station, located along Maple Trail Woods. This pump station is critical to stormwater relief efforts and the improvements will provide backup pumps, power, and improved controls and monitoring.

Preliminary construction activities are scheduled to begin in February 2023 which will include excavation and expansion of the existing station. Construction is planned during cold weather months, however equipment installations and final completion may extend to 2024. The existing pump station will remain available for use throughout construction.

During construction, access through the Maple Trail Woods will be limited at the project site. Signs will be posted ahead of the construction area to notify of closures or detours.

This meeting will be accessible to individuals with disabilities. Anyone needing special assistance and planning to attend should contact Jonathan Tuomey of the City of Elmhurst at (630) 330-1357. Please visit Elmhurst.org/mckinleystormwaterproject for future updates on the project schedule.
