The 2022 Business of the Year and 2023 Nonprofit Organization Award nominations are now open.
The Business of the Year Award will be given to that business, located in the DeKalb area, which has contributed to the economic vitality and demonstrated an unusual faith in the future business climate of the DeKalb area by showing a strong commitment to the DeKalb area community by expanding facilities, hiring additional employees, creating a new dimension to the existing business, philanthropy, aesthetic improvement or otherwise showing a positive influence and impact on the business community of the DeKalb area. The business must have operated in the DeKalb area for at least the last three years. A business may be nominated for the award in consecutive years, however, must have a minimum of seven years separation between being a past recipient and being eligible for nomination again. The Nonprofit Organization Award will be given to that nonprofit that has had a significant impact on the community including but not limited to job creation, collaboration in the community, philanthropy outside the organization, DeKalb Chamber involvement, and social impact within the local community over the past three years.
