A Wheaton middle school is using the annual Christmas season to encourage its 11 to 14 year old students to celebrate homosexuality.
A "gay pride," rainbow-colored Christmas Tree is currently on display at Edison Middle School, 1125 S. Wheaton Ave. in Wheaton, adorned with pink "ornaments" that feature anti-heterosexual slogans.

"Be Gay, Be Slay," says one ornament, Another says "Gay Panic," a reference to a defense offered by those who rebuff physical advances by a homosexual.
In 2022, 55 percent of Edison students failed the English portion of the statewide Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR); 63 percent failed the IAR math examination.
Part of Community Unit School District 200, Edison has 654 students. Its students live in Wheaton and Naperville; they attend Wheaton Warrenville South High School.
Edison's Principal is Rachel Bednar, 50, of Naperville. Illinois State Board of Elections records show she voted in the 2020 Democrat primary.
Bednar's husband, Jason, is a former school principal who currently works for the Illinois State Board of Education as a "Learning Renewal- Bridging and Transition Lead," according to his Linkedin page.
The Bednars will earn $270,000 in public salary this year-- $179,416 for Rachel from CUSD 200, and $90,000 for Jason, in his role with ISBE.
