Catalina Lauf, Illinois' Republican 11th District candidate for U.S. Congress, is committed to addressing what she believes to be the country's most pressing issues. As a congresswoman, she pledges to combat inflation, support America-first foreign policy, and back parental and education rights.
According to her campaign website, Lauf has a background in the private sector, growing her family’s small business and working for a major tech company. At the Department of Commerce, she was a presidential-appointed special adviser on minority business development. Currently, she is a business adviser to a children’s health care startup. Lauf believes the American dream is what made her life possible. According to her website, she is running for Congress "to preserve that promise and the future of the American dream for generations to come."
"These issues are not simply Republican or Democrat anymore. This is about freedom vs. tyranny and preserving the very bedrock of our nation. The future of the American dream is at stake. As a free people, we have a choice to make and a duty to preserve liberty for future generations. It’s here and it’s now," Lauf said in a statement.
Lauf says she is committed to maintaining a pro-growth economy, supporting small businesses and encouraging innovation; enforcing law and order, securing the border; protecting individual liberties; defending parents' and kids’ rights, and upholding her beliefs as a pro-fife conservative.
She is endorsed by U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), U.S. House candidate Burgess Owens (Utah-04), and U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul (R-KY).
“I am the first to condemn D.C. insider Kinzinger and the first to endorse a powerful America first, political outsider, in Catalina Lauf," Cawthorn told Fox News. "I assure you I will not be the last. She is dedicated to working for, not against, the interests of the people of Illinois, and I know that she will be a powerful fighter in Washington."
Lauf is passionate about some of the top issues the country is facing: inflation, foreign policy and parental rights, according to her campaign site.
"I will fight to reopen our domestic energy and manufacturing supply chains, promote American small businesses, and put a stop to excessive government spending. I will be strong on border control and immigration reform," she said. "I stand against endless wars and foreign investment that puts American lives and businesses at risk. I will promote school choice and education for all. We must address the "woke curriculum" and push back against CRT and the hypersexualization of our youth. Teachers Teach; Parents Parent; and Let Kids Be Kids.
"Running for Congress to me is a civic duty: to defend our home district, our home state, and preserve the future of the American Dream in our country that is under attack today by socialist progressives," she said. "By electing me as your representative, you will be sending a fighter to Congress. One who will fight for what matters to YOU, one who is not afraid to disrupt the system, and one who will be a fresh-face and new perspective to Washington."
