The Benedictine University baseball team moved to 4-0 in the NACC with a sweep of Lakeland on Monday.

GAME ONE DETAILS
• Benedictine had to play from behind in the opener
• Lakeland scored five runs in the third and added another in the fourth to open a 6-0 lead
• Benedictine chipped away, slowly building momentum, scoring in the final five frames
• The first run scored in the fifth on a sacrifice fly from Kyle Williams with the bases loaded
• Errors led to a pair of runs in the sixth as Benedictine pulled within 6-3
• Playing as the home team, Lakeland added to the lead with a single run in the bottom of the sixth

• Benedictine was able to win the contest despite stranding 18 on base

• Benedictine broke open a close game late to record the sweep
• Castillo opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the top of the first
• Lakeland tied the game in the bottom of the first before a Peter Turelli double with two outs in the second again put Benedictine in front
• Lakeland tied the game in the third before Turelli singled home another run in the fourth to make the score 3-2
• A leadoff homer tied the game in the fifth, but Benedictine broke away with five in the seventh and four in the ninth
• Castillo opened a run of four consecutive doubles to score runs in the seventh before Turelli added another RBI single as Benedictine sent nine to the plate
• Four runs scored with two outs in the ninth to put the game out of reach
• Pinch-hitter Nick Presutti roped the first pitch of his at bat into center field to score two runs and Lenza also tallied a two-run single in the inning
GAME TWO LEADERS
• Robbie Dudzinski worked 6.1 innings to earn the win, striking out seven
• Nolan Fasel tossed 1.2 scoreless and Tenison closed out the win
• Benedictine tallied 14 hits in the second contest
• Castillo and Turelli both notched three hits
