MPS - Terese ButeraTerese exemplifies so many wonderful qualities that we look for in education. Terese's first concern is always on the student. She looks for ways to ensure students are engaged while increasing their knowledge and giving them the skills to be successful. Terese is very dedicated. She is here early, has been the lead person in running Title 1 and the morning intervention program. Terese is a true asset to the Medinah community.

MMS - Emily Straus -  Emily Straus is a team player, organized, and always reliable. She is willing to adjust her schedule and accommodate all district grade-level math needs. She creates opportunities for students to seek out additional help when needed. We are lucky to have Emily Straus here at District 11.
Congratulations to the employees that were nominated and the winners!
Budget Revenue - Expenditure to Budget
Mid-March has our fiscal year-to-date revenues showing at 57% actual vs. Budget, which is slightly higher than last month's year to date.
There were minimal revenue collections in February, as typically, February trends lower for revenue activity. Expenditures continue to be on target with our budget plan at 68% total fiscal to date, which is right in line with 2/3rd of the reporting year complete, and no out-of-the-ordinary expenses to report.
Technology and Facilities Updates
A review of the contracts and facilities included:
  • The summer facilities maintenance items were reviewed.
  • The Roselle Fire Department completed its annual inspection of all three buildings. There were no findings, and the report was sent to the State.
  • The architects provided a long-term facilities master plan for further review, planning and discussion to see how it aligns with the district's current capital plan.
  • Snow Removal - The district is currently reviewing the bid process.
  • Bus - The district is submitting a bid for transportation.
  • Technology - All kindergarten students will have access to an iPad starting in August of 2022.
