Conservative senatorial candidate Matt Dubiel is asking why the Illinois GOP has blocked him on Twitter.

“Why does the @ILGOP have the #AmericaFirst GOP Senate candidate (me) blocked on twitter?” Dubiel said on Facebook.

Dubiel posted the comment with a screenshot of @ILGOP’s Twitter account.

“@ILGOP blocked you. You are blocked from following @ILGOP and viewing @ILGOP’s Tweets,” the screenshot reads.

He said it is high time that Illinoisans get the representation that they deserve.

"We're not being represented, all of us in Illinois, there's 12.5 million people in Illinois, and Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth are essentially 99% lockstep as they represent Illinois in the United States Senate," Dubiel told Dupage Policy Journal. "And so we're not being represented and we should be represented. In fact, that's the point of having senators is so that the state and the people, specifically the conservative people in this case. We're the political minority right now in Illinois, or it seems that way anyway, we're not being represented and we need to be represented.”

Hoping for a greener pasture ahead, Dubiel is campaigning on a platform of safer communities, better education, medical freedom, incentivizing businesses in America, and an enhanced process for citizenship.

Dubiel was a plaintiff in attorney and attorney general candidate Tom DeVore's successful case against Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker's mask mandate, according to DuPage Policy Journal. Illinois was one of the latest states to loosen its masking laws. Prior to DeVore's successful lawsuit, Pritzker provided no schedule for when parents might anticipate their children to be unmasked.

Dubiel grew up in Downers Grove and Westmont, according to his campaign bio. He's made a name for himself as a producer and host on the radio. WCKG AM 1530 is now owned by Dubiel. Will, Cook, Kane, and DuPage counties are abbreviated as WCKG.
