From the Nurse's Office
3/25/2022
Dear Wildcat Parents/Guardians:
Since 03/20/2022 D94 has had 3 positive cases this week. If you have any questions, please contact the Health Office.
In order to return to school after a positive result, you DO NOT need to test negative. If your student tests positive, they will need to be excluded for 5 days and feel better in order to return.
We are still offering the option to test your student, if symptomatic, while in school. Use of the BinaxNOW test is completely voluntary and is not required. Parents wishing their child to have this option must log into their PowerSchool account to complete the consent survey. You can find the survey in your parent PowerSchool account under BinaxNOW Testing Survey. If you need help accessing your PowerSchool account please contact Beth Schuck (bschuck@d94.org) or for Spanish Janette Hernandez (jhernandez@d94.org)
Please do not send your student to school if they have any of the following symptoms:
Fever (100.4 or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle or body aches from unknown cause.
We need everyone's help to keep all our Wildcat Staff and Students safe and healthy.
If you have any questions about whether or not your student should be attending school, please contact the Health Office:

We Need to Build: Education for Diverse Democracy
Wednesday, April 6, at 7 p.m.
Dr. Eboo Patel
Dr. Eboo Patel is a Glenbard South graduate and the founder and president of Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC). Hie first book Acts of Faith is a coming-of-age story about a Muslim immigrant’s search for identity and the development of an interfaith youth movement focused on building bridges across forms of difference that too-often divide. Now from this faith adviser to Presidents, comes his most recent book We Need to Build: Field notes for Diverse Democracy Patel tells the stories of what he’s learned and how, in the process, he came to construct as much as critique and collaborate more than oppose. Following his remarks, UCLA Professor Dr. Tyrone Howard author of All Children Must Thrive will join Dr. Patel in conversation.
New Science to Decode Teen Behaviors and Relationships
Thursday, April 14 at Noon and 7 p.m.
Cara Natterson
We know teens need our support to grow up safe, healthy, happy, and emotionally whole. But how do we provide that when faced with their adolescent silence, curt responses, and closed doors? Pediatrician, New York Times best–selling author of and mother of two teenagers, Dr. Cara Natterson, is here to help with scripts, tips, and strategies for getting it right – all built on a foundation of practical hard science. Participants will learn how to talk to teens about the wide range of “normal” through the entire developmental process. Dr. Natterson will also talk about why teenagers make irrational decisions even though they look mature, and how to steer them toward better choices.

Stephen Hill
How does one of four brothers, raised in the same home by loving and supportive parents, end up addicted to drugs for over a decade while the other siblings followed a positive path to a healthy lifestyle without any substance use disorder issues? Speaker Stephen Hill places a great deal of emphasis on “prevention through protection,” and pinpoints potential threats and warning signs for parents to watch out for. In May 2018, he published his memoir A Journey to Recovery which became a #1 New Release in Drug Dependency on Amazon. Addiction psychologist Aaron Weiner and clinical psychologist Dr. Doug Bolton will continue this important conversation following Hill’s remarks.
