Student leadership summit focuses on social media

The Equity and Inclusion Committee is hosting our Annual African American Male Leadership Summit today. Speaker Charles Deloach will present on Social Media: Are you using it or is it using you. This event is a great opportunity for our students to gain knowledge on how to safely navigate the dangers of social media

Board of Education to meet on Tuesday

The Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Glenbard North, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream. A meeting agenda will be posted here. You may watch the meeting via Zoom at this link and webinar ID 821 6351 3745.

West Nation seeks Live Life Well breakfast volunteers, donors

West Nation will host Glenbard West’s grab and go Live Life Well Week breakfast on Feb. 25. In the past, they served more than 2,000 students and faculty. They are seeking Glenbard West parent support through either a food or monetary donation at this link or as an event volunteer at this link to help make this event a success. 

County to conduct free dental exams at West

The DuPage County Health Department is coming to Glenbard West on March 2 to do free dental exams and cleanings for all high school students who return a completed signed consent form. Health forms are available in the Glenbard West health office. Forms are due Feb. 23.
 
This exam will meet the state mandated requirements for freshmen. If the student meets the necessary requirements, in addition to the exam, they will receive a dental cleaning, fluoride treatment and sealants.

Security job fair on Feb. 23

Prudential Defense, our campus security provider, will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at our administrative center, 596 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. Multiple positions are available. Pay rate $15 to $17. For further information or to send your resume, contact adminchicago@prudentialdefense.com

Food, custodial service partners are hiring

Due to a national labor shortage, we are experiencing shortages in a variety of areas, including contracted custodial and food services. Our contracted third-party vendors are hiring. See below for application information. Please share the information with those in a job search.
