Report: Maercker School District spent $15,213 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Maercker School District 60 was up 6.4 percent from five years ago, according to the DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $14,297 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,213 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,370 to 1,416 students over the same period.

Maercker's spending in 2019-20 was 5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
