Indian Prairie School District 204 art school teacher Karly Olson has reportedly resigned from the school district days after releasing a video noting her stance against vaccinations and masking.
Olson, an 11-year veteran, has taught art throughout her education career.
In a Sept. 26 video posted to YouTube Olson notified a class that she would not be teaching them in person due to her refusal of a vaccine mandate.
"The reason I am not at school is the administration has enforced the jab mandate, as well as if you refuse the jab, then they are requiring testing,” Olson said. “I have a very strong stance on that. I feel that it is unconstitutional. I will never, ever, ever inject my body with something that is experimental. It doesn’t qualify as a real vaccine. It is gene therapy. And if you asked any (school board members) not one person will be able to tell you what is in the shot.”
The vaccine indeed uses messenger RNA technology which creates genetic building blocks.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the technology is “a new gene-based technology involving messenger RNA, the molecules that carry genetic instructions.”
Olson further advocated for her students to stand up for their rights when it comes to choosing whether to mask.
“They don't want you to realize that you have a say in this,” Olson said. “It doesn't matter what the school board says. If every student came to school with no muzzle on then what are they going to do? There's nothing they can do.”
The school district had a mask optional policy until Gov. J.B. Pritzker reversed course, pulling local control and mandating masks in schools for the fall.
The school board previously said it would lift the mandate if fewer than 5 percent of students tested positive for Covid.
Olson said school administrators were unable to provide her any documentation on the scientific basis for requiring masking in schools upon return to the classroom this fall.
“With every bit of research that I've done, not one article – there's no proof that these muzzles work,” Olson said. “And the n95, the best mask ... in the world, and the mesh on that muzzle is 5 microns; guess what the size of the virus is? .2 microns, which means that even the best muzzle in the world is not doing anything.”
In a commentary posted on the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy's web site, two University of Illinois at Chicago professors found "cloth masks and face coverings are likely to have limited impact on lowering COVID-19 transmission, because they have minimal ability to prevent the emission of small particles ... and offer limited personal protection with respect to small particle inhalation."
Olson did not respond to a request for comment from DuPage Policy Journal.

Hi everybody hope you're having a good day I just got done walking my my pup Hans on this beautiful Sunday and I wanted to make a video because you obviously can see them not in class today and I want to go over a few things one of those things being explaining why I'm not there.
You deserve to know where teacher is first thing is I'm not sick. I don't have a cold or a sore throat, I feel great.

This experimental it doesn't qualify as a real it’s gene therapy and if you asked any of them not one person will be able to tell you what is in the shot.
So I've done a lot of research over the past two years about this and I knew who get to this point and I knew I would make this decision.
I didn't know exactly how it was all going to play out, but I just feel really bad that you guys have to deal with it firsthand. I feel horrible that you have to see this all play out because it's is painful and it's hard to believe that it's actually gotten to this point.
I also don't believe in testing healthy people I don't believe in the test to begin with but it goes against everything I believe in I believe that God gave us immune systems that it's not a conspiracy theory to believe that he gave those to us for a reason and you know I take responsibility for my own health.
I work out. I take supplements. And you know I've had family members that have had the virus and I've been around them before. We even knew that they had it and I didn't get it.
And I'm just going to say it…I am not going to say the word — m-a-s-k. I believe they're at their muzzles that they are trying to silence us they don't want you to think for yourself and they just want to be able to control us okay and I'm an art teacher
I've been teaching for 11 years.
This was not in the contract when I got hired. And as an art teacher it's my responsibility to teach you how to think freely.
I want you to be able to use the right side of your brain. It is a nice break from the rest of your classes that everything they're teaching you is geared towards the left side of your brain — and that's the side of the brain that doesn't allow you to think freely and its easy to control.
And the right side of your brain allows you to think creatively and to think of yourself and I want you to think for yourself.
And that's kind of the point that I want to make right now because there's so much going on in the world and it's almost like if you disagree with somebody then you just have to write him off.
You can see in the hallways how things are just getting to a boiling point and you know we've lost the skill of being able to talk things out — to hear what somebody else is saying — and we really are horrible at listening.
And you know what at the beginning of last year when we finally got back to in person we were hybrid I asked the administrators for just proof and whatever paperwork they were using to enforce the muzzles.

You probably noticed that I've never ever told any student to fix their muzzle. Or if they don't have it on I've never told them to put it on because you know that the power is in your hands.
If you want to wear one then you can wear one, but you certainly don't have to and there's absolutely nothing that the administration can do if you don't want to wear one and they don't want you to realize that you have a say in this. It doesn't matter what the school board says.
If every student came to school with no muzzle on then what are they going to do? There's nothing they can do.
and that's something that I have not been able to share in the classroom.
And I've been accused so many times of bringing politics into the classroom. And you guys are my witnesses you can attest to the fact that I've never ever said anything about this in the classroom but I'm not in the classroom and so this is my chance to at least share my view on those things.
And it's funny because as much as they they've accused me of bring into the classroom that's exactly what they're doing everything is a double standard and it makes no sense.
So if you felt weird about any of these guidelines then follow your gut and do what you truly believe is right.
I am willing to lose my job for this because I know that it's unconstitutional I know that justice is going to be served.
And I don't think that a lot of these people above me understand that they're committing a crime.
And you know truth will be revealed whatever is going to be exposed over the next few weeks with this people are not going to believe it.
And I truly believe in my heart that God is in control and he's doing so many things right now and there's so many things happening behind the scenes that all will come to light and God has already won.
So with that I want to just let you guys know how much I care about you I care for your freedom and we the people make the decisions. Okay — we the people hold the power not the government and not your administration.
If you don't want to come to school because you don't want to follow these rules then don't come.
If you don't want to wear a muzzle then don't wear one.
Because it's never been about your health.
If they cared about your health they wouldn't feed you the food that they're feeding you at school, they wouldn't put fluoride in your water and they would let you breathe free oxygen.
Oxygen actually kills virus the right to breathe the right to make your own choices it's a free country.
We thought it was but it's it's not we have to fight for freedom and if you believe in freedom if you believe in living free then you got to do something about it. You got to have some courage you got to step up and decide what you believe is right.
So just know that I'm praying for you guys I care about you so deeply and stand strong okay God wins and just persevere finish strong we're almost there have a great day.
