Issued the following announcement on Sept. 15

Paul Schimpf, Republican candidate for Governor of Illinois, issued the following statement in response to JB Pritzker signing the energy bill:

"By signing the Energy Bill this morning, JB Pritzker demonstrates two things: first, he clearly does not understand the science of climate change and, second, he will put the demands of special interest groups above the welfare of our working families, businesses, and people all across Illinois. Thanks to JB Pritzker, we will now be paying more for less reliable energy. He is undeserving of re-election to lead our state forward."

About Paul Schimpf: Paul Schimpf served as a State Senator for the 58th Senate District, was the Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and, during his time as an active-duty Marine Corps officer, was the chief American attorney advisor to Iraqi prosecutors in the trial of Saddam Hussein.
