Naperville Media Release: Mandatory Application Workshops Set for Three Funding Programs

The City of Naperville is seeking applicants for 2022 project funding under three programs: the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), as well as the City-funded Social Services Grant (SSG) and Special Events and Cultural Amenities (SECA) grant programs.

The City will host mandatory pre-application workshops and information sessions for organizations interested in applying for CDBG, SSG and SECA funding from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 and 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26. Both sessions will take place using Zoom webinar technology. Topics to be covered include an overview of the programs, priority funding goals, eligibility, the application process, submission requirements and deadlines.

These meetings are mandatory; organizations interested in applying for 2022 funds must have a representative attend one meeting for each program under which they plan to apply. One-hour SECA workshops will be presented at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 and 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26. One-hour CDBG and SSG workshops will be presented at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 and 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26. Applications for the 2022 CDBG and SSG programs are due by noon on Friday, Sept. 24. Applications for 2022 SECA funding are due by noon on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
