Issued the following announcement on July 29
Paul Schimpf, Republican candidate for Governor of Illinois, issued the following statement in response to Pritzker's statement that school districts will be held liable if they don't live up to CDC and state standards:
"JB Pritzker is wrong yet again. Instead of trying to intimidate local education leaders into compliance, JB Pritzker needs to empower and protect them. This example of government overreach and infringement on the rights of parents and their children is precisely why I have proposed the Parents' Bill of Rights."
About Paul Schimpf: Paul Schimpf served as a State Senator for the 58th Senate District, was the Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and, during his time as an active-duty Marine Corps officer, was the chief American attorney advisor to Iraqi prosecutors in the trial of Saddam Hussein.
