Residents having trouble making a vaccination appointment online should call the Vaccine Appointment Call Center the Illinois Department of Public Health recently launched, Sen. Amy Grant said in March.
Grant (R-Wheaton) used her Facebook page in March to help keep residents informed about access options and making appointments for the critical COVID-19 vaccine.
She posted the toll-free Vaccine Appointment Call center number for people to call, 833-621-1284.
As the number of Illinois residents now receiving shots is on the rise, state officials are hoping the call center will help bridge the digital divide in assuring more people from all communities across the state are able to receive the vaccination.
A team of 500 call center representatives will have the ability to make appointments for those unable to do so online. The center is open seven days a week from 6.am. to midnight. The call center has English and Spanish-speaking call agents with the availability for translation into other languages.
