Bensenville School District 2 recently issued the following announcement.
The BSD2 Board of Education approved a February 9 return to hybrid, in-person instruction during its January 20 meeting.
The decision follows our region’s January 18 return to Tier 2 mitigations due to positive local COVID infection trends.
The plan approved by the Board outlines three primary criteria for BSD2 schools to reopen for hybrid, in-person instruction:- The region remains in Tier 2 mitigations or better.
- The District can follow the safety practices outlined by the Board of Education’s Special Reopening Committee.
- No widespread COVID outbreaks occur in the District.
Under the hybrid model, students who have chosen to return to in-person instruction will attend school in-person two days per week on a rotation: Cohort A on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Cohort B on Thursdays and Fridays. Monday will remain a remote learning day.
Remote learning activities will continue five days a week for those students whose parents chose to remain in all-remote.
