Newt Gingrich to Headline Fundraiser for Ives issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Former US House Speaker Newt Gingrich is throwing his support behind Jeanne Ives in her bid for Congress in Illinois’ Sixth Congressional District.
The former Speaker will join Ives for two virtual discussions on September 8. There will be a roundtable discussion from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. during which participants can talk one-on-one with Gingrich and Ives. A more general Q&A will follow from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
“We are thrilled to have earned the support of a leader who was so effective in advancing policies that helped to grow the American economy and improve quality of life for people across the nation,” said Ives. “We are looking forward to a lively discussion and hope people from all political perspectives can join us!”
