67 percent of applicants to Elmhurst College were admitted for fall 2018

At Elmhurst College, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Elmhurst enrolled 3,426 students in fall 2018, including 2,848 in undergraduate and 578 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 17 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (60 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (23 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 4,219 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
