On Monday, Jeanne Ives, a candidate for Congress (IL-06) proposed a series of five debates in front of Sixth District Voters, one in each county – DuPage, Cook, Kane, Lake and McHenry. The debates will be safe, publicly broadcast debates with Democrat incumbent Sean Casten.
“The 2020 election will determine the direction of the country for the next decade,” Ives explained. “It is critical that voters have a chance to get past the headlines, media spin and :60-second soundbites to hear a full vetting of the candidates’ record and ideas in a fair and open debate. We look forward to working with the Casten Camp as we negotiate and organize these important debates.”
