City of Wheaton Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met March 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

I. Call to Order

At 1:57 p.m., the regular meeting ofthe Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was called to order by Chair Cannova. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, lllinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Cannova, Commissioner Dulaney, Commissioner Haines, Commissioner lllia and Commissioner Wanzenberg. Also present was HR Generalist Newton, Police Chief Murphy and Sgt Gabryel. Lt Cooleyjoined the meeting at 3:45 and Sgt Gabryel left at 4:45.

V. Closed Session - Police Officer Candidate Interviews 51LCS 120/2(c)(l)

Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Haines seconded to go into Closed Session for the purpose of Police Officer Candidate interviews.

Commissioner Haines 

Commissioner lllia 

Commissioner Wanzenberg 

Nays: None 

Absent: None 

Motion Carried Unanimously

Miscellaneous Commissioner lllia moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to place Nicole Olsen, Meghan Lowry and Shawn Kamal onto the Police Officer Final Eligibility List and extending conditional offers of employment as appropriate. And to remove the remaining candidates, through #53 , from the Police Officer Eligibility List.

Motion Carried Unanimously

VI. Adjournment

Commissioner Dulaney moved and Commissioner lllia seconded to adjourn the regular meeting at 8:14 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
