Analysis: Downers Grove pays $4.76 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Downers Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.3 percent of the $3,794,075 the Downers Grove Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.76 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Downers Grove contributed $3,159,441 to the fund, which saw a $140,569 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $663,568, or 17.5 percent, in 2018.
