ADDISON SCHOOL DISTRICT 4: Fall 2020

Thanks

Addison School District 4 recently issued the following announcement.

Thank you to our families and employees who responded to the Remote Learning survey.  Your feedback and suggestions will help us refine and improve learning.  Our administrative team is carefully planning and researching different scenarios and models for what school may look like in the fall.

In an attempt to help you prepare, we are providing the following possible scenarios (in no particular order) for how school may operate in the fall:

  • Scenario 1 (In-person Model): Traditional in-person school with some or no restrictions required by the CDC or IDPH.
  • Scenario 2 (Hybrid Model): A combination of in-person and remote learning to limit the total number of students and staff in each school.  The enrollment size of our schools creates a challenge to follow social distancing requirements at school and on buses. This model may use alternating days at school for students or include an opt-out choice for parents.
All possible scenarios will follow all social distancing and health guidelines and provide opportunities for properly cleaning our schools following required protocols.

We will send out additional communications to families as plans are developed. You can also visit the Families>Fall 2020 webpage for the most current information.
