Q4 2019 Recap: Parolees in Naperville convicted of homicide

There were two offenders convicted of homicide released on parole in Naperville during the fourth quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Naperville. The younger parolee was a 25-year-old woman sentenced in 2019. The other was a 46-year-old man sentenced in 1995.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Robert M. Reed. He was convicted of homicide in 1995 when he was 20 years old. He is now 46.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
