Health

Illinois State House District 45 issued the following announcement on March 17.

Continuing to prioritize the public health and safety of the community, state Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is urging residents to take proactive measures to protect their health. To prevent the spread of the virus, Pappas has closed her district office to the public, but continues to be available by phone at 224-520-8838 or by email at RepDPappas@gmail.com.

“The coronavirus pandemic is an extremely difficult situation and many Illinoisans are understandably anxious and concerned about its impact on their families and our state. In facing this health crisis, I will continue to do what I have always done and prioritize the needs and wellbeing of our community,” said Pappas. “My staff and I will closely monitor the situation and provide updates to residents of District 45. I also strongly urge residents to stay informed on news and precautionary measures by referring to the Illinois Department of Public Health’s website as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website.”

“Local residents who have any questions, need assistance, or want to share their thoughts or concerns on this matter or any other issue facing the community, can reach me by phone at 224-520-8838 or by email at RepDPappas@gmail.com,” said Pappas. “At this critical time, I encourage everyone to follow the hygiene and social distancing guidelines set by our health departments to help protect the public’s health and well-being. I’m confident we will face this unprecedented threat and get through it together.”
