City of Warrenville issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.
The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, Chiefs of Police Association, and State’s Attorney Robert Berlin are working together to spread the word on how to help prevent your car from being burglarized or stolen. The statistics are astounding, and not in a good way. The Sheriff’s Office press release gives prevention tips, while their area pin-maps show where and how many of these have occurred over the past six months.
The Warrenville Police Department encourages you to get into the habit of locking your car, always, every day, everywhere, and to report suspicious activity.
