CITY OF WEST CHICAGO: Cultural Arts Commission Seeks Community Input

By Press release submission | Jan 23, 2020

City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.

What type of art should be included in West Chicago’s

Public Art Master Plan?

As cities across the country have learned, the addition of public art in communities offers many benefits. West Chicago residents responded with strong agreement to some of these benefits, and added several others of their own, in a survey administered by its Cultural Arts Commission seeking feedback in its development of a Public Art Master Plan. Results of this survey are now available.

Now, the Commission is posing another aspect of the developing Plan for public comment, and is asking residents to choose what types of art installations they would like to see in West Chicago.

Links to the survey, which may be found in English and Spanish, follow:

The survey period runs through Friday, January 31, 2020. For those who prefer filling out a print survey, they may be found at City Hall, 475 Main Street;  Gallery 200, 103 West Washington Street; and the City Museum, 132 Main Street.
