City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

Temporary Food Service Application
After a successful inaugural event, West Chicago is proud to welcome the Food Festival back to Downtown West Chicago on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Food trucks, food vendors, and food-related vendors are encouraged to apply before the September 13, 2019 deadline.
There is no vendor registration fee for this year’s event.
Entry is free to the public. Food will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors. Vendors are encouraged to offer at least one “tasting portion” for $3 or less in order for guests to sample a wide variety of foods at affordable rates.
*Please note that alcohol is not permitted at this event.
Attendees will enjoy live entertainment, children’s’ activities, and featured performances by Guittara Azul, Five Guys Named Moe, and Wild Daisy. Healthy West Chicago will be offering free live cooking demonstrations.
Food vendors will have the opportunity to compete in the Cooking Competition with prizes awarded in three categories.
