West Chicago home prices fall in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in West Chicago fell by $51,250 while total sales increased by 22.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 60 homes sold, with a median sale price of $237,750 - a 17.7% decrease over the $289,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 49 homes sold in West Chicago in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in West Chicago for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $5,897, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
