Darien home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Darien rose by $5,500 while total sales increased by 29.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 92 homes sold, with a median sale price of $272,500 - a 2.1% increase over the $267,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 71 homes sold in Darien in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Darien for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $5,954, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
