Glen Ellyn home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Glen Ellyn fell by $87,500 while total sales increased by 69.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 73 homes sold, with a median sale price of $333,000 - a 20.8% decrease over the $420,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 43 homes sold in Glen Ellyn in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Glen Ellyn for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $8,607, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
