Hinsdale (DuPage County) home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Hinsdale in DuPage County rose by $76,000 while total sales decreased by 10.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 304 homes sold, with a median sale price of $861,000 - a 9.7% increase over the $785,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 340 homes sold in Hinsdale in 2016.

The median sales tax in Hinsdale for 2017 was $13,460. In 2016, the median sales tax was $12,893. This marks an increase of 4.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
