Addison home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Addison rose by $26,650 while total sales increased by 43.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 118 homes sold, with a median sale price of $231,000 - a 13% increase over the $204,350 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 82 homes sold in Addison in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Addison for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $5,239.60, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
