The campaign committee of state representative candidate Jim Caffrey, Friends of Jim Caffrey, returned a $252.50 contribution from Michael Booth on Jan. 11, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Booth has not made any other contributions to Jim Caffrey in the past 12 months.
