Report: Salt Creek spent $18,852 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Salt Creek School District 48 is down 1.8 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $19,199 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $18,852 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 503 to 498.

Salt Creek's spending in 2017-18 was 41.4 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
