Report: Winfield spent $18,911 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Winfield School District 34 is up 19 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $15,885 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $18,911 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 317 to 304.

Winfield's spending in 2017-18 was 41.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
