Former state Sen. Chris Nybo, a Republican of Elmhurst, is expanding his legal operations by adding lobbying to his list of client services.
“Building upon my reputation as one of the most bipartisan legislators during an era of intense division, I have expanded my legal practice to include lobbying,” Nybo announced in a post on his LinkedIn page. “Chris Nybo LLC is a full-service, government-relations-focused law firm with the experience and ability to effectively lobby all four caucuses in the General Assembly, including key leaders with whom I served in the Senate and House.”
Nybo served in the 24th District for four years before losing his re-election bid to Suzy Glowiak of Western Springs, his Democratic rival, in November in a hotly contested race—it took election officials several days past Election Day to sort out a winner.
Nybo later tendered his resignation roughly six weeks before he was slated to leave office. He also represented the 41st House District from 2011 to 2013.
As for his new endeavor, Nybo added in his post, “I look forward to advising clients on complex regulatory matters, articulating and advocating policy positions, and creating effective strategies to help organizations achieve their business, legislative and legal goals.”
