Report: 18.9% of Illinois Media School students repaying loans are in default

Out of 280 Illinois Media School students repaying loans in 2015, 53 were in default, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

That gives the proprietary school in Lombard a default rate of 18.9 percent for that year – 2.3 percentage points higher than in 2014 and 10.6 points higher than in 2013.

Illinois Media School had 8 more students in default in 2015 than in 2014 and 30 more than in 2013.
