Bensenville School District 2 recently issued the following announcement.
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is nearly 1,000 feet long with 14 rail cars, each decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights in holiday designs, and it will be visiting Bensenville for the first time this year.
The train is scheduled to arrive at the corner of south York Road and east Railroad Avenue at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 6.
Be sure to arrive early to get a good view of the lights and the live musical performances by popular Canadian rock act The Trews and Wisconsin singer-songwriter WIlly Porter.
Parking will be available on Railroad Avenue, as well as downtown, around Village Hall.
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train raises awareness of local food and hunger issues by encouraging attendees to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to a local pantry. All donations will benefit the Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry.
