Addison School District 4 recently issued the following announcement.
This free resource fair is being held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on Friday 11/16/18 from 9:00am-12:00pm. The event is open to all, with over 40 agencies planning to attend and provide information on their resources and services. There will be free flu vaccinations, dental screenings, blood pressure checks, giveaways items, books and toys, food bags, and raffles.
Families do not need to bring anything. There will be a survey they complete at check-in and it will ask their household size, some demographic info and what income bracket they fall in but there will be nothing else asked of them and it will be based on self-report from that survey. Each agency will of course have their own eligibility/ income criteria for the specific services they offer, but that will be discussed at the table with each agency. All services offered; flu shots, blood pressure checks, goodie bags, food bags, toys/ books, etc. are all free and no income docs will be required to receive these items/ services.
