Naperville Park District issued the following announcement on Aug. 21.
The remaining tournament season offers a variety of events for golfers of all ages and interests at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses. The Naperville Senior Amateur Championship will be held at both courses on August 22-23. Several scramble events are scheduled, including the Senior Fall Scramble at Naperbrook on September 6, the Glow Ball Scramble at Springbrook on September 8, and the Fall Scramble at Springbrook on October 13. The fall tournament season ends with the Turkey Shoot, a favorite tradition at both courses the weekend of November 17 and 18.
New this season, Pinnacle Dermatology is the Brooks Tournament sponsor, supporting the tournaments financially and also providing free sunscreen samples and education about sun safety for golfers. Pinnacle Dermatology recently opened a new practice location at 1828 Bay Scott Circle, Suite 112.
“Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses appreciate Pinnacle Dermatology’s sponsorship of the Brooks Tournament Series,” said Kevin Carlson, superintendent of golf operations. “This sponsorship increases the value of these events for our tournament players while educating golfers about the importance of skin cancer prevention.”
